Community Involvement

On May 7, 2011, Northwestern Mutual sponsored the Junior Achievement of Southern California  16th Annual Corporate Golf Classic at the prestigious Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA. Over 150 senior corporate executives, VIP's, volunteers, and Junior Achievement (JA) staff enjoyed a gorgeous day of golf and business networking on the exclusive grounds of Sherwood. This year, the tournament, under the direction of Jeremy Dicker as Golf Chair, surpassed all previous events and raised a record $395,000.

Jeremy is a Board Member of Junior Achievement of Southern California, Inc. (JA) as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board. JA is a committed, caring organization dedicated to inspiring kids to achieve in the business of life. Business professionals share their experience and knowledge with students, helping students understand what it takes to be successful. Jeremy strongly believes that providing educational experiences and training for children is absolutely essential, especially in financial literacy. Jeremy's hope for these children is that they may live The American Dream, as he himself is doing. "I have been very fortunate in my life to be surrounded by people who have cared about my success, personally, professionally, educationally, and financially. JA gives me the opportunity to do the same for not just one person, but many. I am blessed to have found JA and to be able to provide that impact," notes Jeremy.
